Needing To Be Heard is an online community dedicated to parents, caregivers, and professionals who work with children that fall within the autism spectrum. The goal of this community is to show parents that they are not alone... There are many other people who have been challenged by the special needs of the autism spectrum, and this site is dedicated to helping them come together and post questions, discuss challenges, and share success stories.
The needingtobeheard.org community is supported primarily by advertising. ntbh does not officially recommend or endorse any of the products and services listed in the advertisements, resources section, or in the message board -- however, it is a goal of this site to contain a compilation of all offerings made available to people interested in or working with autism.

We felt it was more important to collect all of this information in one place and allow community members to discuss it among themselves, rather than pick and choose items based on a specific philosophy. There are many paths but the same goal, and what works for one child might not work for the next. Please keep an open mind and be aware that your opinions may not be matched by everyone.
Our overall goal is discussion in a healthy and helpful atmosphere. This is your community. Play nice, and pick up your toys when you are done. Other than the "no flame war" rule, anything goes.
